• Under most circumstances no special diet or fasting is required prior to your examination
• Upon arrival at the MRI Center, please notify the receptionist of any prior exams related to the MRI you are about to have. We will obtain any films or reports necessary for comparison purposes.
• Each patient and guest will be asked a series of screening to ensure the safety of anyone entering the MRI scan room. All metalic objects should be removed.

What to Expect

• Most MRI scans take 45 minutes to an hour.  Some factors could increase the time of the scan.
• A registered MRI technologist will perform your scan.  Additional information about the procedure will be provided.  Do not hesitate to voice any concerns or questions you may have at any time during the examination.
• The MRI scanner is connected to the XM radio service so you will have a broad range of music types to choose from during your exam.
• After completion of the exam, you may return to your normal schedule.  A copy of the report will be sent to your referring physician within 48 hours.
